Experience

I have experience helping LGBTQ+ individuals navigate their identity and place in the world, along with all the challenging and uniquely specific issues our community faces in outpatient and inpatient settings. I also currently work as an inpatient therapist, so I work with at-risk teens and young adults in crisis struggling with suicidality, depression, self-harm, addiction, and trauma.

Specialities

LGBTQIA+ Affirming, Gender Dysphoria, Depression and Mood disorders, Suicidal Ideation and Self-Harm, Addiction and Substance Abuse, Relationship Issues, and using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for PTSD/Trauma.

My Approach

As a person-centered, existential therapist, I see myself as a fellow traveler on life’s journey rather than someone with all the answers. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you process your unique challenges and find realistic solutions—whatever that looks like for you. Having my own lived experience being part of the LGBTQ+ community, I know how heavy it can feel to grow up and move through the world while carrying the weight of “being different”. That perspective shapes my approach, so you don’t have to worry about being judged or having to explain the complexities, let alone the basics, of your identity. My approach is also guided by the theory that there’s no single cookie-cutter blueprint for a meaningful life, so my approach shifts with each client. What doesn’t change is my commitment to making therapy a place where you can speak openly and honestly, without fear of judgment or dismissal. Together, we’ll work toward carving out a path through whatever life has thrown your way, so you can emerge stronger on the other side.
