Karyn has over 5 years of experience working with individuals, children, adults, and families using a strengths-based and relational approach to therapy in outpatient and school-based settings. Karyn is familiar with Attachment Theory, Narrative, Person-Centered, Mindfulness Techniques, Family Systems Perspective, Trauma Focused, and Play Therapy Modalities. Karyn treats children ages 3-12 and adults 18 and up.

My goal as a therapist is to create a warm and safe environment that allows you to deepen your understanding of yourself as you go through life’s challenges and transitions. I use a person-centered approach to develop a course of treatment that is specific to you in order to grow and form healthy relationships, build resilience, and strengthen emotional connection with others. I have a particular interest in the intersection of mental health and physical health diagnoses. I know that health issues can feel defeating and isolating and will work with you to process the grief and loss at the life you were expecting and will work with you to develop concrete strategies to aid you in living your optimal life.
