I have been providing mental health counseling since 2006 in a variety of settings including outpatient and residential treatment, community mental health, schools and private practice.
I provide counseling to children, adolescents, and young adults who struggle with behavioral concerns, peer and family relationships, social difficulties, self-esteem, anger management, depression, anxiety, symptoms of ADHD, adjustment issues, grief, abuse, and trauma.
My hope is to provide a safe environment for each client to learn, heal and reach their desired goals to grow through past trauma/set backs and learn skills and tools to manage in their present situation, as well as give hope for coping and enjoying for the future.
I use many forms of therapy to support my clients including play therapy with young kids, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment theory, and Solution-Focused.
In addition to working with the client, I believe it’s beneficial to collaborate and communicate with other professionals, teachers and doctors to understand the full dynamic of the client’s strengths, set backs and needs to establish care and course of treatment.
