I have over 15 years of experience navigating the complexities of the mental health system, including psychiatric emergency rooms, trauma units, and the VA Hospital system. My background also includes years of providing clinical supervision and presenting professional research on diagnosis disparities and complex trauma. This history allows me to look past surface-level symptoms to truly understand how a diagnosis actually functions within the context of your daily life.

My Approach

I take a direct and no-nonsense approach to therapy, grounded in genuine empathy. You may feel "stuck" because you have been previously misdiagnosed with general anxiety or mood disorders. Perhaps you simply need a safe space to discuss subjects like pornography addiction, spiraling emotional ADHD thoughts, or OCD thoughts that don't seem to make sense when stated out loud. My goal is to move past the "cookie-cutter" approach of endless worksheets and instead focus on how you personally respond to treatment.

I prioritize a relaxed, non-judgmental space where you feel zero pressure to "perform" or mask. I work from home, so you will see me as a real person in the room with you—likely with a coffee or tea in hand and my pets nearby. To support our work, I often use podcasts and videos from YouTube or TikTok as clinical supplements. I incorporate evidence-based modalities including CBT, Mindfulness, Stages of Change, and Solution-Focused therapy to help you find exactly where to begin.
