EXPERIENCE
I have been a practicing art therapist and counselor since 2011. I provided in-home psychotherapy and case management for children and families in North Carolina for a year. I then worked as a counselor in an acute inpatient behavioral health setting in Arizona for eight years, working with both adolescent and adult patients as well as their families. I also facilitated recovery court group therapy sessions along with developing both a yoga curriculum and art-based curriculum for the recovery court participants.

MY APPROACH
I believe that the most important part of therapy is the relationship that is built between therapist and client. I provide a creative and accepting space for clients to identify strengths and use those strengths to navigate life’s challenges. My approach is trauma-informed and incorporates art therapy, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, client-centered, and strengths-based models. I find that art therapy is a helpful and unique way for clients to approach difficulties and express themselves.
I am focused on providing individual, couple, and family therapy. Services I provide include but are not limited to: cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment therapy, systemic therapy, solution-focused therapy, intergenerational therapy, and motivational interviewing.
