SPECIALTIES
Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Trauma, Personal Growth, Relationship Issues (all relationship types), Couples/Marital Therapy/Pre-Marital Therapy, Gender Dysphoria, LGBTQ, Discernment Counseling, Divorce, Infidelity, Co-Parenting/Parenting Issues, and Sexual Dysfunction
MY APPROACH
The therapeutic approaches I am most influenced by include: Solution Focused, Narrative, Bowenian, Cognitive Behavioral, and the Systems Theory. The therapeutic technique is chosen based on the client’s presenting problem, and which model will be the most appropriate to promote the growth of the client
I am passionate about being an advocate for all of my clients. I believe that individuals whom enter therapy with an open mind, have the capacity to gain a new perspective on their current situation; thus moving in a positive direction toward their goals. I work to ensure that individuals, couples, and families feel respected, heard, and understood throughout the entirety of the therapeutic process.
I am trained in the systems theory, which has taught me to look beyond the individual and to examine the complexities and relationships that form the backdrop for every individual. I recognize that the client is the expert in their own life and I believe in working collaboratively with the individual, couple, or family to find unique solutions to their complex problems. I believe that focusing on client’s strengths, not weaknesses, elicits hope and leaves room for meaningful, long lasting, and positive change to occur.
