EXPERIENCE
Life can take some strange twists sometimes. After initially graduating with an apparel design degree, I returned to my home state where I decided to change direction and pursue a career in health care. Although the only position open at the time was in inpatient behavioral health, it clicked like a puzzle piece and felt like a perfect fit. I am currently practicing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience working in mental health- both inpatient and outpatient clinical experience. I have found I have a passion for women’s health in relation to mental health including postpartum/prepartum issues, concentration/focus, sleep issues, etc., as well as viewing given circumstances from a holistic approach. In my free time, you might find me hanging out with my two daughters, husband and 4 dogs, taking hikes on local trails, gardening and experimenting with new recipes!
I currently see all ages 5+, offering services to evaluate and provide medication management for a variety of diagnoses under the umbrella of mental health. I am part of a wonderful practice which also includes mental health therapists specializing in a variety of areas and would be happy to connect you with one as well for additional support!

MY APPROACH
As a nurse practitioner, I value viewing situations holistically- equally considering the social, lifestyle and psychological contributions, as well as biological. I greatly appreciate open communication, value a working relationship as equals, and emphasize thoroughly educating along the way- including medication education and lifestyle modifications. I want you to be a part of the decision making as much as I am. I strongly believe in therapy as an enormously beneficial piece to maintenance and recovery and will be more than happy to help you find a good fit if so desired. I do not believe pharmacological interventions are the only answer but can certainly be a helpful tool in your toolbox along the way.
