MY APPROACH
I take a personable approach to therapy where initial sessions are spent not only gathering necessary information, but also getting to know one another and building the therapeutic relationship. I firmly believe the most important part of therapy is the fit between therapist and patient; therefore, if I am not the right fit for you, I will help to the best of my ability to find someone who would be a better match. In my work with patients, I strive to provide a warm and supportive environment to promote feeling safe and comfortable while exploring areas of concerns. We will work together to identify strategies to best help you reach your goals as it is important for you to be an active participant in your therapy. I tailor my treatment approach to individual presenting issues and what fits best for each patient. Most often I utilize a combination of supportive, solution focused, and cognitive behavioral therapies.
