MY APPROACH

My goal as a therapist is to create a safe and welcoming space where children and families feel accepted and able to be themselves.  I am passionate about working with children and families who have experienced trauma.  I aim to empower clients as their reach their greatest potential.  I also strive to meet clients where they are at and work to create trust and safety in all my sessions.  Play therapy is incorporated into many of my sessions, as I believe in the power of play.  Play is how children learn while also learning how to explore and talk about their feelings.

Another passion of mine is working with pediatric feeding and eating disorders.  I have extensive knowledge in the area of eating disorders and can offer a mental health approach to children and adolescents who have feeding/eating disorders.  It has been my experience that pairing mental health with pediatric feeding and eating disorders (namely ARFID) can be highly beneficial for children and families who are experiencing difficulties.
